From a young age on Oliver was interested in visual arts. In 1989 he went to Los Angeles to study filmmaking and illustration. After earning his degree, he stayed in Hollywood for a couple of years to work as a storyboard artist and illustrator in the film and advertising industry with clients such as Ridley Scott & Associates, NBC, Caralco Pictures, Mattel, Disney, and Universal Studios. His work involved feature films, animation, computer game design, cinematics, commercials, theme park rides, and music videos.
After returning to Europe he continued to work as an artist in the advertising, film, and television industry and established himself as a successful freelance storyboard artist, under his own studio: Oliver Denker Studio.
Besides working as an traditional illustrator, Oliver has begun to move into the realm of digital pre-visualization. He lives in Southern Germany and on the island of Teneriffe.
